MAY YOUR DAYS BE MERRY AND BRIGHT!

Inchworm Christmas – Elvie looks triumphant with her Inchworm while Veronica looks disappointed because she was too little for an Inchworm – she got a snail instead. She loved her snail, it was faster, but it did not make up for the fact that she was too little.

Spooky Game Christmas – That year after standing in line for a half hour and talking and laughing all along, Elvie announced: “I’m not going up there!” The result was a picture of a very scared Veronica alone – no included here. But then Elvie decided she wanted “The Spooky Game” for Christmas and she had not included that in her letter to Santa so we told her she had to talk to Santa to let him know. We went to a different mall and after walking back and forth past the Santa several times, she finally agreed to tell him. This fact did not go unnoticed by the Santa who commented that there must have been a bribe involved. We had no idea what “The Spooky Game” was and everywhere we asked they looked at us as if we were crazy. What a predicament! Luckily I mentioned it to Lolita and she had seen the commercial – it was Casper the Friendly Ghost game and at the end of the commercial they would say “It’s a very spooky game!” Lolita saved the day!

Talking about spooky – here is an unusual Christmas card.  This was from Miss Dunaway, a Spanish teacher and Mima’s customer, and her sister.
